Vauxhall have introduced a pioneering new range of engines for their mid-sized and large Combi passenger vehicles that are Euro6 compliant and available to order now ahead of their release in 2016. The updates will also see the Vivaro and Movano have added safety features and additional comfort options.
The new Vivaro Combi is available with two new turbo diesel Euro6 compliant powertrains. The first of the two is a 94bhp 1.6CDTi diesel engine that is available on the road from just £27,094 and boasts 260Nm torque as well as impressive efficiency numbers of 44.8mpg and combined CO2 emissions of just 164g/km.
For just under £1000 more you can upgrade to a BiTurbo version that will improve power by 29bhp and increase torque by 60Nm. Despite the extra levels of power the Bi-Turbo version it actually boasts better efficiency at 49.6mpg and 149g/km. Both the Vivaro and Movano boast intelligent economical technology such as Start & Stop.
The Vivaro comes equipped with a range of state-of-the-art feature including keyless entry and start as well as Vauxhall’s improved Intellilink infotainment and navigation system along with a crisp and easy to use DAB Radio.
Upsizing to the 9 or 17 seat Movano will see you gain a EU6 2.3 BiTurbo diesel engine Two versions of the engine are available. Firstly there’s a 143bhp output that delivers 360Nm and secondly there’s the more powerful 168bhp and 380Nm of torque, both of which offer 42.8mpg and 173g/km. Both models come with leading technology including start/stop in a six speed transmission. The Movano also boasts an upgraded package that offers safety features including lane departure warning system, high-beam assist and an on-board computer.
